CALL FOR ENTRIES

Monaco Dance Forum 2006 will take place in Monaco from December 9th through December 16th 2006. It is a unique and multidisciplinary event addressing the entire spectrum of the dance audience: authors, choreographers, dancers, set designers, dance companies, students, producers of live events as well as of multimedia and audiovisual programs, spectators of all outlooks... Since its first three editions, the Forum has become a privileged venue for dance professionals from the world over to exchange and debate, search for partners, present new works, and experiment with new tools. Monaco Dance Forum is open to the most recent trends in dance.
In digital dance, the Forum encourages the creation of new works and the discovery of fresh talent.
For the 2006 edition, Monaco Dance Forum has chosen to attribute Monaco Dance Forum Prizes as invitations in Monaco, bursaries and residencies. This evolution makes it possible to accentuate both the pertinence of the call for entries and the visibility of the prizewinning artists and works.
Furthermore, the new synergy allows for a better response to the desires of the artists, the press,and the public.
In dispensing the prizes, the aim is to promote the production of digital and multimedia choreographies and to validate such works amongst the general public and professionals by creating the opportunity to present and disseminate original creations.
