Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts is committed to contemporary dance and inter-disciplinary performance work. An umbrella organization for dance and digital arts, Attakkalari facilitates and produces international arts events.

The Attakkalari reperetory company has just returned from the Bonn Biennale where its latest work PURUSHARTHA previewed. The multi media dance production received an overwhelming response and has been invited to perform at many more european festivals, beginning with the Venice Biennale on June 22nd and 23rd.

Artistic director and choreographer Jayachandran Palazhy ( India ), digital and sonic artist Kunihiko Matsuo ( Japan ), set and digital designer Naoki Hamanaka and a group of talented dancers coming from diverse backgrounds create a symbiosis of various approaches and cultural orientations resulting in a rich tapestry of aural and visual imagery.
